Official Skydrive for Android App released

Microsoft has just released an official SkyDrive app for Android for its popular cloud storage service Skydrive widening its reach and giving another reason for many to start  using Skydrive. Skydrive for Android gives Android users free access to 7 GB of cloud storage to store, access and share files, photos, videos on the go.

Features

  • Access all of your SkyDrive content including files shared with you.
  • View recently used documents.
  • Choose multiple photos or videos to upload from your phone.
  • Share your files and photos – send a link in email or in another app.
  • Open your SkyDrive files in other Android apps.
  • Manage your files – delete, or create new folders.

SkyDrive for Android is available at Google Play store and works on your phone if you have Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)  or Android 2.3 and above installed on your device. The app comes with a nice & clean  Modern (Previously Metro) interface.
This is just the first release of Skydrive on Android and hence it may lack few features available on other cloud storage services like dropbox. We will try to do a full review of Skydrive app soon here at AndroidPure. Stay tuned.
